We did some research and headed to the Wachovia web site looking for Wachovia motorcycle loans. While we were hoping to find information on motorcycle credit, motorcycle leasing, motorcycle loan rates, bad credit motorcycle financing, and more, what we found was that Wachovia evidently does not provide motorcycle financing.

Instead, we were referred to E-LOAN web site and told that E-LOAN is not affiliated with Wachovia. O.k., fair enough — so we headed to E-LOAN’s web site for information on what motorcycle loans they can provide. However, when we got to their site and looked for E-LOAN motorcycle loans, we were again disappointed.

E-LOAN apparently no longer provides motorcycle loans. Their website instead now referred us to another website: the website for netLoan Funding. Finally, our Odyssey was nearing its end, and we went to check out netLoan Funding Motorcycle Loans.

O.k., finally we were getting somewhere. netLoan Funding actually brings together a variety of lenders who loan to customers with different levels of credit ratings. Though their website mentions motorcycle loans and motorcycle leasing, we were not able to find any information about a motorcycle lease, so we will focus on their motorcycle loans. Those interested in motorcycle leasing may want to contact netLoan Funding directly to find out more information.

netLoan Funding advertises secured motorcycle loans with rates as low as 9.15 percent. Also, they advertise personal loans, which can evidently be at even lower rates depending upon your credit rating. For netLoan secured motorcycle loans, terms can be up to 60 months, and bolt-on accessories can be included in the financing.

netLoan Funding also facilitates bad credit motorcycle loans, as their site allows you to select “Poor Credit” and then sends you to a site to apply for that kind of loan. Because the netLoan site pools together a variety of lenders, they are more likely to help find motorcycle loans for bad credit customers.

Yamaha Sport Motorcycles — Yamaha currently has a variety of financing offers in its Sport category, a category the encompasses motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and snowmobiles. We picked the two motorcycle loans that we found most interesting.

• Yamaha Super Sport Motorcycles — Yamaha is running an interesting offer on its Yamaha Super Sport motorcycles. The currently advertised deal is a 7.99 percent Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for a 36 month motorcycle loan on the Yamaha card, with a maximum financed amount of $9,000. The advertising touts payments as low as $69, but in the fine print it is indicated that this won’t pay off the loan — and after 36 months the rate goes up — so if you don’t think you can pay it off in 3 years, just know what you are getting into.

• Yamaha FJR1300 – Yamaha currently has a very interesting finance offer for its Yamaha FJR1300 motorcycle. The deal currently being advertised is a 6.99 percent APR for a 3 year motorcycle loan on the Yamaha card. The maximum amount that can be financed under this deal is 17,500. This rate is advertised with a $109 monthly payment, but again buyers should read the fine print to understand what can trigger raised interest rates.

These Yamaha motorcyce deals certainly seem to us to be worthy of additional investigation. Please be sure to check the Yamaha website to confirm the rates and terms available in your area.

These loans have no payment and no interest for 90 days.

Honda Tier 1 Financing — Honda offers customers with great credit Honda Card fixed rate financing with rates as low as a 6.9 percent Annual Percentage Rate. The fixed minimum monthly payments for these loans is 1.7001 percent of the original high balance for loans up to $9,999, and is 1.5044 percent of the original high balance for loans from $10,000 to $25,000.
